JOB DETAILS:
Chambeshi Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (ChWSSC), is the Utility Company based in Northern and Muchinga Provinces of Zambia providing water and sanitation services under the provision of the Water and Sanitation Act No. 28 of 1997.
The vision of the Company is be “National Best in Water Supply and Sanitation Services” and whose mission is to “Sustainably provide quality Water Supply and Sanitation Services to the satisfaction of the customer while embracing innovation and stakeholder support”
To achieve this, the company endeavors to ensure that it has the adequate staff with the right skills.
The Company now invites applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the following vacancy:

Job title: Production Supervisor Salray Grade Cms-5
Job Purpose
To coordinate and supervise Water Production, Treatment, Storage and Transmission activities for maximised effectiveness and efficiency.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
• Assists in technical evaluations of Performance against installed Capacity of waterworks Facilities and equipment (borehole pumps, booster pumps, and Chlorine dosing facilities)
• Supervision of Operations of water supply facilities focusing on effectiveness and efficiency for attainment of approved water production targets
• Assist in preparation of Technical Specifications and estimates for Equipment and Pumping Units for installations and replacements
• Assists in developing and optimizing Water Supply Regimes in liaison with Branches / Zones for the achievement of optimized water supply regimes for provision of equitable water supply to customers
• Liaises with projects implementation unit to carry out new ground water source development.
• Coordinates Preventive Maintenance and Repairs of the Water Supply infrastructure and appurtenances to avoid avoidable equipment failure (Boreholes, Reservoirs, Transmission lines, Valves and Fire hydrants)
• Plan and coordinate works for timely repair of Electrical Equipment at borehole sites
• Plan and coordinate works for timely repair of leakages on transmission networks and Appurtenances (physical losses)
• Ensure safety, health and environment regulations are observed
• Preparation of Operations and maintenance reports

Qualifications And Experience
• Grade 12 (Form V) School Certificate including Math & English.
• Bachelors of Engineering Degree in Electro-Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Electrical
• Paid up Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
• Minimum of 3 Years practical work experience in a reputable institution
