JOB DETAILS:
1. Production and Processing Supervisor
• An internal Production and processing role involved with head office in our production and processing department. The Production Supervisor is a critical role in the company. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the production process and ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently The Production and Processing Supervisor will manage the retail plant production, prepare the products for exports, and implement the food safety and organic plan. This position requires a combination of technical and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage employees and meet production goals.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Supervise daily production operations to ensure efficient and timely production of goods.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust them as needed to meet customer demand.
• Manage the retail plant team – assign the task to the team and review their work.
• Prepare product for export – Liaise with the GM/Logistics and Procurement Supervisor on export plan.
• Manage the food safety and pre-requisite. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Ensure that all products for export and domestic sales are meeting both international requirement and organic standards.
• Communicate with other departments and teams to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Ensure that equipment and machinery are maintained and properly functioning to prevent downtime and delays in production.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders for supplies and materials needed for production.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Collaborate with management to set production targets and establish goals for the production team.
• Analyze production data and reports to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in production management, or related field
• Previous experience in production supervision or management
• Knowledge of production processes, machinery, and equipment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Knowledge of Food safety SOPs.

2. Wax Processing technician Role at Forest Fruits Ltd. Lusaka, Zambia
Wax processing technician – An internal Wax processor role involved with head office in our production and processing department. Able to operate a Palletizer. The Wax processor is responsible for set-up and operation of the automatic palletizer, stretch wrap machine and related equipment. Takes full pallets, stretches them, and puts them on truck. Being a Palletizer reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. For a period of 1 year with the potential for contract extensions.

Job Requirements
• Experience working with production machinery such as conveyor belts and pumps.
• Experience in temperature monitoring.
• Able to lift heavy weight material.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
• A good level of neatness and consistency to accomplish job activities.
• Apply professional skill, knowledge & employability skills while performing jobs.
• Good skill levels and accuracy in the field of work/ assignment.
• Should be able to work under minimum supervision.

Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities are likely to include, but not be limited to;
• Apply food production standards and standard operating procedure (SOPs) related to safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret technical parameters/ documents, plan and organize work processes, identify necessary materials and tools.
• Check production parameters, quantities, or preparation methods for correct settings to meet process requirements.
• Clean and reinstate workstations, operate equipment and dispose off waste following the SOPs.
• Fill quality forms and daily recording of production processes.
• Monitor processing equipment and report cases of improper functions.
• Prepare workstations at the start of shift.
• Document the technical parameters related to the task undertaken.
• Perform tasks with due consideration to safety rules, accident prevention regulations and environmental protection stipulations.

Qualifications
• Diploma in Machine operator/Conveyor belts is an added advantage.
• Combination of additional education and experience.
• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work and communicate well with others.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
