REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO CONDUCT IN HOUSE TRAINING PROGRAMMES FOR EMPLOYEES OF ZAMBEZI RIVER AUTHORITY

Assignment Title: To Conduct in House Training Programmes for Employees of Zambezi River Authority

Zambezi River Authority ("the Authority") has set aside funds in the 2021 Financial Budget and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards in house training for members of staff during the year 2021

The Authority is a corporate body jointly and equally owned by the Governments of Zambia and Zimbabwe ("the Contracting States") and is mandated with the management of the Kariba Complex and the stretch of the Zambezi River (from Kazungula to Kanyemba) forming a common border between the two Contracting States

The Authority has also in place a five (5) year Corporate Strategy which will come to an end on 31" December 2024 and one of the key strategic objectives under the Corporate Strategy is to improve employee performance through enhanced skills and bridging employee knowledge gaps and cultivating effective leadership. To ensure successful delivery of this key strategic objective, the Authority seeks provision of in-house training consulting services for its employees

The Authority intends to conduct the following in house training programmes:
• Risk Management
• Corporate Governance Training for Executive Management Senior and Middle Management Employees
• Recruitment and Selection Interviewing Techniques.
• Change Management for Change Agents
• Change Management for all Employees.
• Computer Appreciation
• Preparation for Retirement and Covid -19 Workplace Challenges in the Workplace for Human Resource, Employees, Covid 19 Controllers, Focal Point Persons and OHS Committee

The Authority now invites firms and individuals ("Consultants) to express their interest in providing the training Services, Interested Consultants must provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services

The Consultant (s) will be selected in accordance with the Authority's Procurement Policy and Procedures
The shortlisting criteria will include:
• Local firms registered in Zambia or Zimbabwe which have been in existence for more than five (5) years and in the business that includes training.
• Individual Trainers who are of Zambian and Zimbabwean nationality
• CVs of Trainers with experience in conducting training for each of the listed programs.
• Specific experience for each training programme during the past five (5) years. A table demonstrating the scope of the specific experience, the programme, company trained, year, number of participants, contract amount and contactable referees must be provided.

Notwithstanding anything else in this Request for Expressions of Interest, the Authority has the right to change the dates and training programmes described herein, to reject any or all the Expressions of Interest submissions, to disqualify any Applicant, to change the limits and the scope of the procurement process and, to cancel this Request for Expressions of Interest or the procurement process and or to elect not to proceed with the procurement process for any reason whatsoever, without incurring any liability for costs and damages incurred by any Applicant
