PURPOSE

BCP is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive motorcycle rider training. The program aims to equip riders with essential skills in safety, maintenance, and proficient riding techniques across various challenging conditions.

LOCATION:

  • Sesheke Town, Western Provinces.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:

  • 16 Participants.

SCOPE OF WORK:

A. Overview of requirements

1.     Highway Code Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of highway regulations and safe riding practices.

2.     Safety Training: Rigorous training in safety protocols, defensive riding techniques, and emergency procedures.

3.     Maintenance of Motorcycles: Essential skills in motorcycle maintenance for optimal performance.

B. Training Program Overview:

1. Basic Riding Skills: Starting, Moving Off, Stopping

  • Adjust throttle and carburetor settings.
  • Gear selection and clutch control.
  • Proper foot positioning and braking techniques

2. Gear Shifting Techniques:

  • Smooth transitions between gears.
  • Throttle control for acceleration and deceleration

3. Riding Techniques: Standing Up and Gripping with Knees

  • Riding in seated and standing positions.
  • Handling bumps and obstacles confidently

4. Riding Through Water:

  • Assessment and navigation of water obstacles

5. Additional Maintenance Skills:

  • Routine maintenance tasks: spark plug replacement, cable adjustments.
  • Battery and tire care for reliability.
  • Engine oil replacement.
  • Air filter replacement.
  • Brake pads replacement

C. Expectations:

  • Perform daily maintenance checks.
  • Master defensive riding skills for various terrains.
  • Recovery of stalled motorcycles on hills.
  • Navigate mud, sand, and water confidently.
  • The vendor should issue competency certificates at the end of the training.

D. Submission Requirements:

Interested vendors should submit their proposals including:

  • Company profile and experience in motorcycle rider training.
  • Detailed training program outline.
  • Proposed training methodology and materials.
  • Training staff qualifications.
  • Budget and pricing structure
