JOB DETAILS:
Impact One Initiative is a non-profit organization equipping community schools in Lusaka, Zambia to provide a quality education for their students. We provide our partner schools with training, mentoring, and networking opportunities to improve their management and teaching skills. We also support our schools with reading, technology, and creative arts programs.
As a School Liaison Officer, your primary role is to mentor school directors to improve their management practices, thereby enhancing the learning standards and financial sustainability of their schools. You will work closely with school leadership to identify challenges, provide tailored solutions, and facilitate their growth towards sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop meaningful relationships with our partner schools to encourage them to discover and fulfill their unique vision
– Provide personalized mentoring to community school management in implementing management and business best practices
– Engage with school directors to understand each school’s unique challenges and opportunities.
– Identify implementation gaps and offer tailored solutions to support schools on their journey
– Encourage schools to come up with ideas to overcome challenges as they work towards sustainability
– Provide spiritual encouragement and direction to partner schools
– Identify management training gaps within the community schools
– Assist the team in the development and facilitation of training events
– Support the facilitation of monthly Network Meetings
– Link schools to potential donors, partners, and resources that align with their unique goals.
– Provide guidance and support to schools in drafting proposals and request letters for funding and partnerships.
– Regularly monitor and assess the progress of individual schools against agreed-upon goals.

Qualifications and Requirements:
– A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Education, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
– Strong understanding of community school contexts and challenges in Zambia.
– Proven ability to mentor and inspire individuals to achieve their potential.
– Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
– Commitment to Impact One’s core values, including spiritual encouragement as part of mentorship.
