KCM SmelterCo Limited a subsidiary of Konkola Copper Mines Plc (KCM Plc) is one of the largest copper and cobalt processing companies in Zambia. It operates an underground mine in Nampundwe, a refinery in Kitwe, and a crushing & milling plant, a tailings leach plant and a state of the art smelter in Chingola. To support this vision KCM SmelterCo Limited would like to recruit experienced and qualified individuals for the above position at Nkana Refinery and Nampundwe Mine.

Job Purpose:
Provide consultancy service to departments on matters concerning policy and procedures on engineering training in order to ensure uniform implementation and administration in line with the regulatory standards.

Main Roles & Responsibilities will include:
• Analyse, develop, implement and evaluate performance based technical training programmes.
• Implement hands on task and basic skills training for tradesmen to overcome specific weaknesses and ensure effective results.
• Maintain technical subject matter expertise through understanding of the business process.
• Assess the impact of equipment change in the departments and provide training to the affected personnel.
• Train and develop subordinates to acceptable levels of performance to meet planned objectives and achieve sectional targets.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Technician in Electrical /Instrumentation Engineering
• Technical Teachers Diploma (Teaching Methodology)
• Minimum 3 years industrial experience
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong problem solving & analytical skills
• Registered member of EIZ
