JOB DETAILS:
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Manager – Finance will work with the CFO and Management in managing the Finance function and the financial direction of the company including reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, preparing financial forecasts, investigating ways to improve profitability, and analysing markets for business opportunities.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Monitoring of Company business performance
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Building and maintaining business relationship with key stakeholders such as banks, regulators, and auditors
• Managing costs through review and authorisation of departmental purchase requisitions and payments
• Review of journals prepared by finance staff and junior managers and overseeing the financial reporting process
• Preparation and interpretation and interpreting reports, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
• Tracking of the company’s financial performance against budget
• Review of monthly management accounts and ensuring timely submission to Group on a monthly basis
• Preparation of the Bank of Zambia prudential returns
• Preparation of quarterly covenants
• Ensuring timely submissions of the monthly and quarterly statutory returns
• Preparation of the financial performance review for the Company’s Board Packs
• Overseeing internal audit of the function and external audits
• Supervising and mentoring of finance staff and junior managers
• Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Full ACCA or CIMA
• At least 5 years’ accounting work experience in the Finance Sector or any related relevant experience

• Should be very knowledgeable in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent numerical and accounting skills
• Good Problem solving skill
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
