JOB DETAILS:
Senior Mechanic
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of diesel engines, heavy-duty vehicles, and machinery. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, gearboxes and other vehicle systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Inspect and test vehicle components to ensure proper functionality.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and fix mechanical issues.
• Supervise and mentor junior mechanics and apprentices.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Ensure all work is completed to company and safety standards.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and computer systems for repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
• ASE Certification in Diesel Mechanics (preferred).
