Senior Research Executive, Social Research – Ipsos in Zambia
JOB PURPOSE
This role exists to manage and execute research projects in a manner that ensures client satisfaction. The role holder manages and oversees multiple projects, ensuring that the work standards are of a high quality, deadlines are met and that projects are completed within budget. The role holder is also responsible for day to day client liaison in terms of queries and feedback.. .

  ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Provide technical and commercial input into proposals in terms of research design, methodologies, costs, deliverables and timing.
• To keep abreast of current offerings and developments within Ipsos and in the research world at large to ensure that proposals and pitches are both competitive and differentiating
• Enhance business growth through repeat business and increased volume of business.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget and to the expected quality standards.
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Managing the relationship with clients on a day-to-day basis and keeping them informed regarding the progress of projects.
• To ensure that industry and research knowledge is integrated from other projects, desk research and other teams/sources to obtain a consolidated, competitive offering
RESEARCH DESIGN
• Designing the relevant research instruments (questionnaires, discussion guides, interviewer briefs, sampling plans, etc.)
DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION
• Ensure accuracy of information received from Data processing
• Ensure generation of accurate analytical reports
• Ensure all interpretation is in accordance with findings
REPORT WRITING
• Write accurate and insightful reports keeping proposal requirements and objectives in mind and adhere to relevant Ipsos standards
• Consult other relevant external data and analyze market trends that will enhance and add value to the Report
PRESENTATIONS
• Design presentation according to client and Ipsos Standard requirements
• Make presentation to Client when required Leadership, team and people management
• Responsible for coaching/ on the job training for junior team members
• Pro-actively responsible for their own learning & development
• Promote team spirit

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
To be successful in this role the candidate should have:
• A relevant University Degree
• A minimum of 4 years’ continuous experience in Market and Social Research
• Professional qualifications in relevant areas of specialization like Impact Assessment, Monitoring & Evaluation, corporate reputation etc.
• Thorough knowledge and a complete understanding of Social Research principles and techniques
• Solid knowledge of Social Research services and tools (preferably with an emphasis on quantitative research, but having both quantitative and qualitative experience will be an advantage)
• Knowledgeable on industry issues
• Knowledge and experience in preparing budgets and cost management
• Presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas with internal & external business clients
• Thorough knowledge of research methodologies and analysis covering: Methodology design, Sampling, Questionnaire design, Data analysis & Report writing
• Excellent verbal, written and spoken English and strong communication and influencing skills with proven ability to effectively communicate insights to all levels of the business in a practical, user friendly and meaningful way
• Strong research relationships and networks
• Sound knowledge of interpreting and analyzing information
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word and SPSS and other survey analysis systems like Quantum
• Able to work within a multi-cultural environment
• Interpersonal skills, good people skills, good organizational skills and strong presentation skills
• Excellent leadership, Time management, costing and project management skills
• Self-driven, results orientated, shows exceptional initiative and is focused on quality and profit
