JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a talented SERVICE OPERATIONS LEADER to join our team specializing in SERVICE for our DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS SEGMENT in KITWE, COPPERBELT, ZAMBIA.
In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:
• Guide the Service Function teams for the Branch and ensure efficient management of WIP (Work in Progress)
• Lead in Technical and key OEM monthly Customer meetings and manage internal Technical and Service meetings.
• Guides, manages, and coordinates communication and interfaces with the customer at appropriate levels. Negotiates and implements Service contracts with accounts as authorized
• Service Capability, Capacity and Coverage – Applies the Service Capability, Capacity and Coverage process to understand customer expectations, business priorities, and where products are operating to provide capable and consistent service through available parts, information, tools, and qualified technicians according to published standards; analyzes service capability metrics to identify, prioritize and resolve channel development opportunities within the service network.
• Service Documentation – Creates and verifies customer, equipment and technical information; captures specific data using required service tools; follows procedures and documents required information in the service management system in order to have an accurate record of the work done.
• Drives Customer Focus Six Sigma initiatives to strengthen relationship with customer.
To be successful in this role the candidate will need the following:
• Technical Commercial Degree with mining experience or Technical Diploma with extensive experience in equivalent industry.
• Ensures accountability – Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.
• Articulating Value Proposition – Interprets internal and external customer needs based on relevant application.
• Able to steer high level Technical and Service meetings with OEMs. Understands engine operation in off highway mining Haul trucks, excavators etc
