JOB DETAILS:
Reporting to the Coordinator – Rotables, you will be responsible for the consolidation and rebuild of parts for planned shutdowns and services within the Maintenance area. Manage, coordinate rotable repair and return process for mobile fleet.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Ensure long term planned maintenance parts requirements are scheduled, reviewed and monitored.
• Mentor and lead Parts Interpreters to produce detailed planned repair/rotable repair schedules and estimates the SAP CMMS.
• Actively participate in identification and implementation of projects that demonstrate working in an environment of continuous improvement.
• Participate in Reliability Centered maintenance (RCM) audits and analyses.
• Input into the integrity of information in Plant Items, BOM’s, APLs, plant spares and SAP
• Ensure monthly reports are completed on time and with the required consent.
• Manage the preparation of repair/rotable parts for offsite shipment and subsequent repair and return.
• Receive rebuild or repair quotations from authorised vendors and initiate approval process.
• Review of critical parts for maintenance equipment, prepare reports and recommend adjustments.
• Accountable for completion of all tasks identified in the Management Operating System (MOS) to the specified quality and timelines as assigned to this role.
• Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness. Promote and comply with the LMC Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
• Ensure personnel are adequately inducted in their work area and are aware of all workplace rules and critical procedures applying at LMC.
• Actively contribute to site safety policy and new initiatives and implement change as directed by the General Manager and management team.
• Actively promote, monitor and enforce compliance of personnel with safe work practices.
• Adhering to environmental procedures to ensure good housekeeping, resource conservation, spill prevention and the appropriate disposal of wastes.
• Work with the coordinator and supervisor to achieve production and cost targets in conjunction with the daily, weekly and monthly mining plans that correspond with the annual production target.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following essential requirements:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Warehouse management and Supervision, preferably in the mining environment.
• Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of warehouse management principles and practice.
• Experience in the use of a recognised CMMS preferably SAP
• Competent in a computerised Inventory Control or Warehouse Management System.
• Able to clearly demonstrate the aptitude to drive a light vehicle and hold a current Zambian Driver’s Licence or be able to obtain one.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and show a commitment to understand local culture and be able to impart the mining operations and technical knowledge to the local Zambian mine operations personnel.
• Competent in incident/accident investigation
• Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.
• High level understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in Zambia.
• Experience in managing costs and budgeting.
• Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas
• A member of Engineering Institution of Zambia.
