JOB DETAILS:
Overview
The Spiritual Integration Officer (SIO) is responsible for the development and implementation of initiatives that (a) promote the spiritual formation of the staff; (b) liaise with church leaders in ensuring the Christ-centeredness of the SG Program; (c) support the creation and management of Spiritual Integration trainings and training materials and (d) contribute to and nurture the culture of Christ-centeredness and integral / holistic mission across the life of HOPE as an institution and network.
All the SIO’s functions ultimately aim at making people, and especially members of Saving Groups into disciples of Jesus who multiply into other disciples through sharing the Gospel in words, works and lifestyle.

Responsibilities
Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International through:
• Leadership – Support the HOPE Zambia Program in the following ways:
o Ensure that the organization is pursuing HOPE International integral/holistic mission in theory and practice in all aspects of its life and ministries.
o Develop and maintain strong links with church partners’ leadership to ensure that the Spiritual Integration functions are growing and intentionally monitored throughout the structure of SG program all the way to SG groups’ daily life.
o Contribute to the development of an SI country strategy aligning with HOPE International’s network SI strategy; as well as an “Annual Operations’ Plan” including a specific framework within operations to make disciples of Jesus who multiply into other disciples through sharing the Gospel in words, works and lifestyle!
o Continually learn from HOPE program and partners’ context, environment and culture mirroring them to the biblical principles, ethics and values to inform HOPE strategic decision making and processes
• Staff discipleship and training
o Coordinate and actively participate in HOPE staff bi-weekly devotions, monthly meetings and quarterly retreats in order to maintain a focus on the program’s Christ-centered mission.
o Apply and implement programs of spiritual training for staff that strengthen their relationship with Christ; including modeling and leading the staff in prayer, fasting, discipleship, Bible studies, spiritual retreats and intentional socialization/relationships with colleagues
o Contribute to the efficient management of human resources by establishing processes and standards for recruiting, orienting and evaluating staff to ensure Christ-Centeredness is successfully monitored within HOPE operations;
o Consistently coach staff members to re-discover their calling in God and abide by it in promoting Christ-centeredness in their respective sectors of ministries at HOPE
o Contribute to the shaping of the culture of HOPE towards biblical ethics and values in all organizational processes and maintain an atmosphere of cohesion, love and unity among the staff.

• Relationship management
o Ensure there is continuous dialogue between HOPE Zambia and Church Partners so to develop relevant SI related initiatives taking advantages of arising opportunities and mitigating problems/threats to the continuation of SG services to the communities.
o Enhance activities that strengthen the continuous collaboration of Church Partners’ staff and Church Leadership in the perspective of making SG a full Ministry of the Church
o Develop relevant SI training material for the Capacities Building of Church Partners’ staff and Church Leaders.
o Ensure ‘Making disciples multiplying into other disciples’ is at the heart of all activities done at Church Partners’ field operations and especially empower/coach Church partners’ staff to do things by themselves.
o Work together with church partners’ staff to develop a framework of relevant Church Facilitators’ retreats, discipleship activities and on-job coaching
o Be creative in building coalitions and relevant networks of organizations/institutions to make lasting SI impact on the areas of holistic ministry and disciples making in the SG program

• Savings Groups and Community Outreach
o Ensure tools to proclaim the gospel, to disciple, to edify SG members and eventually to connect new believers among them to church leadership are created/adapted, availed and effectively used by field staff
o Ensure there exists relevant frameworks to monitor Church Partners’ staff training of Church Facilitators and SG group leaders/members with biblically based curricula
o Ensure there is continuous collaboration with other HOPE International services delivering sectors (Lead Training & Quality Assurance) to secure synergy of processes, to enhance consistency and to eliminate redundancy

• Reporting and any other general tasks
o Create systems for capturing stories of life change and impact with SG group members, churches and the broader community.
o Regularly submit reports of SI activities and metrics as per reporting requirements and timelines
o Help with other tasks assigned by the Operational Manager relating to HOPE International SG program and SI efforts.

Qualifications
• Demonstrates a sustained growth resolving his/her life ambiguities within progressive divine clarity about his/her calling in God and the mission of organization he/she works for.
• Demonstrates continuous discovery of the ways/doings of God in the events, episodes and also scars of his/her own life as well as of the organization he/she works for.
• Demonstrates irrefutable capacities to scrutinize and learn from the context, environment and culture in which he/she works mirroring them to the biblical principles, ethics and values to inform relevant and accurate decision-making processes
• Has proven and seasoned capacities to organize and translate relevant ideas and lessons learnt into practical restorative step-by-step plans (course) of actions, projects, programs and/or even strategic plans and to manage them at one time.
• Active and empathic listener of people including those of different views from his/her; increasingly able to relate with, love and respect wide diversity of people; but also able to understand and withstand diversity of doctrines and traditions of churches and Christian organizations in the country (without compromising on principles and values).
• Has ability to work well with pastors and denominational leaders at all levels of churches’ hierarchy; to be a model in his walk with God; and to contribute to building authentic relational networks with Christians and even relevant non-Christians (broadening)
• Has passion, skills and experience in the ministry of bringing others to know Christ and equipping people in Christ-centered multiplying discipleship and transforming leadership
• Continually develops his/her skills in adult teaching, training and transformational education
• Must be growing strong in the knowledge & life-application of the Scriptures and acquiring relevant educational background (Bachelor’s Degree or more) and theological training.
• Has ability to speak, read, and write professionally in English as well as fluency in spoken and written languages of the Country
• Has clear understanding of the mission and vision of HOPE International and continually align to it
