JOB DETAILS:
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
• Working with the Stocks Manager to implement and maintain procedures and systems in the Stocks Department.
• Administering and regulating the incoming and outgoing raw materials/ sweepings/ used bags/ broken pallets/ product disposals/ product recoveries/ scrap/ waste.
• Supervising and regulating the subordinates that work in the raw materials handling division (loading and offloading of trucks), health and safety regulations are followed.
• Issue raw materials to the production plant while ensuring that the materials comply with the required specifications and document controls resulting in full traceability in the final feed product.
• Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly stock levels are reconciled, submitting reports and initiating orders to ensure effective control is maintained while ensuring no production stoppages occur due to material outages.
• Ensuring materials are kept in a clean and orderly manner together with FiFo (First in – First out) stock rotation.
• Ensuring that no materials reach the expiry/use by dates by regularly monitoring the status of the materials. If materials/products are not being not utilized at the suitable depletion rate to use / sell them before they expire it must be reported to management for corrective action to be taken well in advance of expiry/ use by date.
• Ensuring a fumigation and pest control program is followed and is up to date by the responsible service providers.

The Required Qualifications are:
• Full Grade Twelve (12) certificate with five (5) credits.
• Chartered Institute in Purchasing and Supply Diploma or related field.
• 2 – 3 years relevant experience.

The Required Attributes Include:
• Physical skills, ability to supervise over a large surface area.
• Human relations skills, able to communicate and delegate work to subordinates.
• Written skills, fills in all required documentation according to standards.
• Numerical and computational skills, calculations of items received/dispatched on a daily basis.
