Job Description
• Mining Department seeks to recruit a highly energetic, committed, and passionate Zambian for the position of OT Support Officer to join the versatile Mining team.
• Reporting to the Coordinator – Operational Technology (OT), you will be responsible for providing technical and maintenance support of operational technologies to leverage set production operational key performance indicators and asset performance metrics in the core business to inform operational excellence.

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
• Maintenance of operational technology systems and related applications
• Ensure high system reliability, availability for real-time systems and data integrity.
• Monitor and maintain operational technology systems and opencast wireless networks.
• Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
• Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
• Troubleshoot system, network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
• Testing and evaluating new technology.
• Install and configure operational technologies and applications.
• Install, maintain and repair digital trunked VHF Two-Way Radio System.
• Install, test and maintain Cisco and Rajant Kinetic Mesh Wireless Network, HP GPS Drill Navigation, Fleet Management, Geotechnical, Security, Spatial, Survey, IP Network Cameras, Mine-to-Mill, Environment Monitoring and SCADA Systems.
• Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness.
• Promote and comply with the LMC Occupational Health & Safety Policy.
• Ensure appropriate facilities, procedures and workforce competence to achieve legal compliance, incident prevention and the achievement of tasks in an environmentally sustainable manner.
• Rapidly establish a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role in the Mining Industry
• Craft or Technician Certificate in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Automation or equivalent trade experience.
• Member of EIZ, IET, Axelos or PMI.
• ITIL Foundation, PMP or Prince 2 Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Good computer skills with the ability to use word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications.
• Possess excellent communication, tactical and strategic thinking skills.
