JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
To assist in the running of projects under the guidance of the projects Team Leader/Head of Department which shall include the participation in the preparations, Installation/implementation, commissioning, and monitoring of projects undertaken by the Technology and Marketing Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain a database of available technologies to improve access to technological information.
• To effectively implement and execute the completion, commissioning and follow-up plans for projects by maintaining project, schedule through the monitoring of project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Ensures the effective meeting of installation, maintenance, operational and relevant standards for incubated technologies/systems by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, and resolving problems.
• Participating in the evaluation of the feasibility, functionality and reliability of innovations and associated equipment by conferring with the varying sections, identifying problems and requirements in order to contribute to industry competitiveness and national economic growth.
• Adopt and pilot innovations to assess their viability for commercialization.
• Effectively undertakes the provision of technical advisory services in engineering, manufacturing, and process design in order to contribute to industrial development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Full Grade 12, with at least five credits, which must include Mathematics and English.
• Diploma in Electrical from a recognized institution.
• At least 5 years’ work experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge in Solar energy will be an added advantage.
• Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia.
