Kazungula Water Supply and Basic Sanitation Project

Southern Water and Sewerage Company (SWSC) the employer requires suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to prequalify for the following:

RFP 137/2021: International Competitive Bid for the prequalification of Applicants for the Procurement of:
Construction of Kazungula Water Supply and Sanitation Project in Zambia being financed by the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Regional Fund for Water Infrastructure and Basic Sanitation (RFWSBS) managed by the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) with support from KfW Development Bank.

Scope of Requested Construction Services
The project entails the construction of intake works on the Zambezi River, bulk water transmission main from intake works to a new Water Treatment Plant (WTP), the construction of a slow sand filter WTP, the construction of booster pumping stations, the construction of reinforced concrete reservoirs and the construction and extension of reticulation networks, and other scope to be provided in the detailed tender stage to prequalified tenderers.

It is foreseen to assign the services to an independent construction firm with proven experience in water and sanitation infrastructure development. The minimum annual turnover shall be Euro Six million (Eur6,000,000.00)

Submission Procedure
Submission deadline is 26th July 2021, 23:55 hours, South African Time, GMT+2.

No late submissions will be considered.
