With the above mandate, Chililabombwe Municipal Council has been collecting Vendor Levy and other locally imposed Levies at Kasumbalesa Boarder Post.

The Local Authority intends to engage an Agent to collect Vendor Levy on its behalf with the view of enhancing efficiency. The Tender is open to Citizen Bidders.

Chililabombwe Municipal Council is inviting eligible bidders to submit Tenders for vendor levy collection at Kasumbalesa border post for and on behalf of Chililabombwe Municipal Council.

The Company shall provide the following services to the Council (i) Collect Vendor Levy on behalf of the Council at the designated collection points at Kasumbalesa Border.

The Company shall provide the following services to the Council (i) Collect Vendor Levy on behalf of the Council at the designated collection points at Kasumbalesa Border post

(ii) Be responsible in the management of Council receipt books on Vendor Levy.

(iii) Keep and maintain up to date records of all the daily collections balanced with the receipts issued by the Council.

(iv) Remit the daily Vendor Levy collections to the Council

EVALUATION AND AWARD OF THE CONTRACT

The prospective bidder should be able to submit the following requirements:

Company profile; the bidder must provide a company profile stating the core business, years of existence, ownership, registered business address, structure, key staff and product catalogues relevant to the services being procured.

Registration status; Certificate of incorporation (PACRA)

Power of Attorney -the bidder should provide details of person (s) dully authorized to act on behalf of the firm in matters pertaining to this bid

Litigation status - The bidder must provide litigation status dully signed by a legal firm.

NAPSA Compliance Certificate must be provided

Workers Compensation Certificate must be provided

Valid tax clearance certificate- the bidder must provide a tax clearance certificate as evidence of their tax compliance

Bank reference and latest certified three (3) months bank statements

Experience demonstrate capacity to employ a revenue collection system at the collection point and show proof of such experience.

A Mandatory Site visit of the revenue collection points will be conducted on Thursday 31st May, 2023 at 10:00hours. Meeting Place is Civic Centre.

Submission procedure

The Tender document must be appropriately bound, sealed and must be addressed to the Town Clerk, Chililabombwe Municipal Council Civic Centre, 24 President Drive, Chililabombwe, Copperbelt Province.

The Tender document must be deposited in the tender box at the reception clearly marked Tender No. "CMC/PSU-E01/003/05/2023 ENGAGEMENT AS AN AGENT FOR VENDOR LEVY COLLECTION AT KASUMBALESA BORDER POST FOR AND ON BEHALF OF CHILILABOMBWE MUNICIAPL COUNCIL."

The closing date for the receipt of engagement of an Agent for Vendor Levy Collection is Monday 22nd June, 2023 at 10:30hrs, any bid received after the time and date stipulated above will not be accepted. The engagement of an Agent for Vendor Levy Collection will be opened in the Council Chamber, on the same date immediately after tender closing in the presence of companies or their representatives who choose to attend.
