INTRODUCTION
Habitat for Humanity Zambia is a locally registered Non-Governmental Organization founded in 1984 and currently operates in three provinces namely; Lusaka, Central and on the Copperbelt. The organization has been responding mainly to shelter needs and related issues such as water and sanitation to serve the most vulnerable families living in marginalized peri-urban communities within the three provinces.
HFH Zambia through its BMZ Community-Driven Models for WASH improvement Project, is funding the Convention of a borehole From a Hydroelectric Power Source System to a Solar Powered System, Supply of a 10,000l Tank and reticulation works at Makululu C Primary School , Kabwe District.
DELIVERY APPROACH
Habitat for Humanity Zambia promotes a community driven approach involving the local authority (Council),District Education Board (DEBS),Makululu C Primary School Management and community members and its leadership from the onset during the planning , implementation,monitoring and completion of installation works. This ensures development of local capacities in quality delivery of the product to the satisfaction of end users and the funding agencies in accordance to the scope of works (see annex 1 below).
Habitat for Humanity Zambia is now inviting bids from its registered vendors Convention of a borehole From a Hydroelectric Power Source System to a Solar Powered System, Supply of a 10,000l Tank and reticulation works at Makululu C Primary School , Kabwe District.
This includes; i) Convention of a borehole From a Hydroelectric Power Source System to a Solar Powered System , Supply and installing 10,000l Tank on exiting tank,fabricating solar stand and fitting it with solar panels to the elevated tank,Installation of guard rails on the stand, laying of water piped network stretching up-to 50-100 meters to two locations in the school and one outside the schcool, Construction Fence to protect the Stand and pump house and completion of civil works for the existing pump house (Plastering,Roofing and Steeldoor installation) , as described and specified in the scope of works stated below as an annex.

ELIGIBLE BIDDERS
Habitat for Humanity Zambia reserves the rights to invite bids from its registered Venders.
The Bidder is required to posses the following;
General Eligibility and Compliance
Personnel,Experience and Equipment
-Registred EIZ Water engineer,civil engineer or related qualifications with diploma or degree added advantage with atleast 2 years experience for supervision of works.
-Plumber at least 3 years experience
-Proof of carried out past experience in similar works (Certifications of completion,award letters,Purchase orders etc).
-Light truck
The Bidder is encouraged to visit the School and examine the site and its surroundings and obtain for itself, own risk and responsibility, all information that may be necessary for preparing the bid.The costs of visiting the site shall be at the Bidder’s own expense.

SIGNING OF CONTRACT
Promptly upon notification, the Employer shall send the successful Bidder the contract agreement for review and signing.
PROJECT DURATION
The employer expects the project to be completed within 30 days of the date of signing the contract.

Kindly Note! That the Vendor is required during installation and after to train a selected individual by the school on basic management of a solar borehole system and plumbing works rehabilitation.
