Position: Trainee Credit Back officer/CRO

Reporting to: Branch Manager/CBO Group Leader

Key responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring accurate, complete and timely record keeping for the Credit Department. This includes:

• Loan data entry into myMBS.
  
• Checking compliance of loan files with the Bank’s credit procedures.
  
• Preparing loan contracts.
  
• Holding disbursement talks with loan clients (including a detailed explanation of the loan contract and emphasis on contract obligations such as timely repayment).
  
• Handle RDB registration for hard collaterals.
  
• Filing of documents in the Credit Department filing system.
  
• Maintaining the loan file archive.
  
• Adherence to all credit procedures of the Bank, especially the back office credit procedures.
  
• Responsible for reporting problems with the my MBS or any other IT related issues to the Branch Manager and to follow up until a solution is found.
  
• Any other tasks as requested by AB Management or Supervisor.
  

Knowledge, experience, and qualification required

• Bachelor degree in accounting, administration, management or related field
  
• At least one-year working experience in the banking sector or related field
  Excellent knowledge of Credit Policy, Credit Procedures & Regulations as well as Back Office Credit Procedures & Regulations.
  
• Very good computing and data entry skills.
  
• Proven ability and willingness to work in a team as well as individually.
  
• Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda
  
• Very good command of excel, word, PowerPoint, any core banking system and other operating system used within the bank
