Our client in Lusaka is looking for a warehouse officer to join their team for a job vacancy within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:
• Monitoring stock levels at the warehouse and knowing when to replenish stock
• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment
• Supporting the warehouse manager
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Counting and confirming inventory
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults
• Communicating errors to relevant parties
• Ensure that the warehouse or retail stores inventory is managed effectively
• Assisting with stock-taking activities
• Notifying supervisors and managers of inventory levels
• Manage and maintain the storage conditions of goods received in the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
• Labelling items for pricing, storage and transfer
• Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries.
• Sorts and stocks products on shelves and in the backroom.
• Assists fellow associates as needed throughout the store.
• Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.

Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience as a warehouse officer or similar role
• Basic knowledge of using an ERP system may be beneficial
• Knowledge of forklift operations will be an added benefit
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• A friendly and hard-working disposition.
• Punctual with good time management skills.
• Ability to spend long shifts on your feet, perform physical labor, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
