JOB OPPORTUNITY
Kaleya Smallholders Company Ltd, popularly known as KASCOL is an Agricultural concern and run as a private limited company with 160 smallholders with a nucleus estate in sugar cane cultivation. There is an immediate opening for the position of Zone Leader and applications are invited from qualified Zambians who fulfil the following criteria.
ZONE LEADER (1) .

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Draws up weekly program for replanting, weeding, fertilization, smut rouging and trash management.
• Ensures that 5 hectares is replanted per day.
• Monitors newly replanted field to ensure there are no gaps in between plants by replanting were it has failed to sprout.
• Carries out assessment of cane fields to determine prevalence of weeds and level of tasking.
• Controls weed population through weeding
• Institutes trash management within three days after haulage.
• Monitors application of fertilizer as per agreed specification.
• Assess how much percentage of smut is prevalent and assign workers accordingly.
• Sourcing of seed cane.
• Ensures harmonious work relationship between the general workers and field Capitaos.
• Supervises Field Capitaos and general workers.
• Compiles daily reports for work carried out.

Requirements:
• A diploma in Agriculture
• At least 2 years working experience
