Job Description

• Develop and maintain efficient management information systems and associated procedures for the Ministry
  
• Develop and manage electronic resources using content management systems (CMS) and online databases;
  
• Develop and manage internal information resources and networks via intranet sites;
  
• Liaise with computer users to ascertain needs and to ensure that facilities meet users and Ministry’s requirements
  
• Evaluate the functionalities of ICT systems in place and provide recommendations
  
• Perform ICT systems audit and risk assessments
  
• Generate, automate and produce operational reports and management information, adhering to defined templates and ensure compliance with ICT Policy
  
• Coordinate the development of new information systems
  
• Participate in business reengineering processes, procedures and systems to improve efficiency.
  
• Train the users to efficiently benefit from the Information Systems in place
  
• Implement and monitor the ICT Policy
  
• Implement the open data initiatives at the Ministry’s level in accordance with National Data Sharing Policy
  
• Provide help desk service to user departments
  
• Perform any other duties assigned to him/her
  Job Profile
  A0 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or A1 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with a Certifications in A+, N+ is required; Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (.NET),LAMP/WAMP Framework or MCITP are an added advantage
