JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The Retail Manager will be responsible of overseeing a dedicated team of sales consultants, crafting and implementing winning sales strategies, and propelling revenue growth within a designated region. Take charge of promoting our sales and service culture through coaching and staff motivation. Provide leadership, accountability, encouragement and training to branch managers and teams in the pursuit of the Company’s core purpose.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Lead in achieving individual, branch, regional and bank-wide goals through new business development, referrals and retention of account relationships.
• Driving sales growth, achieving revenue targets, and ensuring exceptional customer service across all retail locations within your assigned region.
• Create and execute sales plans in the region to reach revenue targets and expand market share.
• Analyze sales data to spot trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
• Recognize and reward behaviors, attitudes and results which contribute to our company’s success
• Maintain on-going recruiting relationships resulting in the hire of skilled employee candidates in order to build and sustain strong branch teams
• Oversee and support regional branch budgeting process
• Effectively complete assigned performance evaluations and support branch supervisors in this process
• Coordinate effective staff coverage within assigned region
• Respond effectively to escalated customer questions, suggestions, concerns and complaints
• Plan, organize and deliver effective regional meetings and other training as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Management
• Lead and motivate a team of retail sales managers and associates to meet sales goals.
• Conduct performance reviews, offer feedback, and provide training to enhance the team’s skills.
• Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams for effective promotional strategies.
• Ensure all retail locations follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage inventory and product assortment to optimize stock levels and boost sales.
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management regularly.
Required Skills and Competencies
• Exceptional leadership skills to motivate and inspire a team.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven history of meeting and surpassing targets.
• Profound knowledge of the retail industry, market trends, and customer behavior.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving aptitude for identifying sales opportunities and crafting effective strategies.
• Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems.
• Capability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Solid organizational and time management proficiencies.
Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail sales management, preferably in a regional or multi-store environment.
• Must experience of 3-4 in managing retail teams, including training and team development.
• Proven experience as a Retail Sales Manager, preferably in a regional or multi-store context.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and growing sales operations
• Strong knowledge of the retail industry and market trends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Willingness to travel within the designated region as needed.
