JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
To catalogue and classify information for ease access and retrieval of information.

(b) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• CIPS Advanced Certificate - Purchasing and Supply

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Preserve procurement records and documents for administrative, historical, legal, evidential and other purposes;
• Sort information and documents for filing according to database and record management system protocols;
• Classify and code information and documents for easy identification;
• File information and documents for easy retrieval by users;
• Collect and secure all tender documents;
• Verify all documents received as well as file them in designated storage places;
• Store documents in appropriate designated storage containers and locations;
• Update tender opening registers and evaluation register books and other related documents;
• Remove inactive and dead files upon clearance by management;
• File all incoming and outgoing documents;
• Keep track of movements of all records and documents that belong to the Department;
• Index all documents in the Department;
• Participate in tender opening meetings and ensure that documents are stamped.
• File Procurement documents electronically and physically;
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.

(c) TENURE
The positions are on Permanent and pensionable basis.

(c) REMUNERATION
The position of Assistant Procurement Officer is on Management Level, ML9 and that of Principal Procurement Assistant is on GP2.

Level of Education: Professional Certificate
