A TEACHING ASSISTANT OF THE MATERNAL SECTION

Job Summary :

To ensure that learners (students) are in a safe learning environment and are successful in the subjects taught. The environment must be highly structured and highly interpersonal in order to enable students to flourish spiritually, academically, physically and emotionally.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF THE TEACHING ASSISTANT OF THE MATERNAL SECTION:

• Diploma of Professional Secondary Education A in Education;
• Mastery of the computer tool (Microsoft Word and Excel);
• Mastering French;
• Motivate and mentor others
• Knowledge of the system and requirements of education in Rwanda

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TEACHING ASSISTANT OF THE MATERNAL SECTION:
Under the supervision of the Campus Director, the assistant teacher of kindergarten has the following responsibilities:

• Replace the teacher in his absence;
• Control the comings and goings of learners, accompany them wherever they are. On all occasions,
• he / she is responsible for his learners and must give them a good example;
• Ensure that students are well dressed and their materials are well maintained;
• Ensure that students are clean and neat inside and outside the classroom;
• Work closely with teachers
• Ensuring that the languages of instruction (French and English) are practiced by children and that discipline is provided inside and outside the classroom;
• Correct the tests or exams given to students by the teacher or other school authority;
• Correct assignments, notes and workbooks;
• Keep initiative, innovation and hard work;
• Help teachers to do the teaching materials;
• Respect class schedules
• Coordinate social, sports and cultural activities;
• Ensure that school materials for which he / she is responsible are properly used and kept;
• To fulfill other responsibilities given to him by his hierarchical authorities with regard to his work.
