JOB DETAILS:
Shivay Technologies, a leading ICT supplier in Zambia, is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant & Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Kitwe. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to our overall financial health. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Responsibilities:
Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Prepare Financial Reports: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitor expenditures, and identify areas for cost reduction.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, prepare and file tax returns, and handle any tax-related inquiries.
Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial discrepancies.
Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation for annual audits.
Accounts CRM Management: Utilize accounting CRM software to manage client accounts, track invoices, and maintain accurate customer records.
Support Business Decisions: Provide financial insights and data analysis to support strategic business decisions.
Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices for accounting processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.

• Required Candidate Profile:
Location: Must be based in Kitwe, Zambia.
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
Certification: Possession of an accounting certification such as ZICA (Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants) or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting CRM software, Microsoft Excel, and other financial management tools.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Ethical Standards: High level of integrity and commitment to ethical accounting practices.
