JOB DETAILS:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To assist in the provision of independent and objective assurance service in all areas of governance, risk and control to the Commission.

REPORTING ACCOUNTABILITY
This is a junior position reporting to the Internal Auditor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in conducting internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and processes.
• Performs routine systems, risk assessment and investigative audit tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Prepare draft audit reports highlighting observations, strengths and weaknesses, findings and recommendations and submits for review by the supervisor.
• Support the development and implementation of audit plans.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Document and analyse financial, electoral processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepares and maintains audit working papers required in the conduct of audits and ensures that all audit work is properly and professionally documented and filed.
• Carries out pre-audit of payments and records significant findings for periodical reporting Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Full Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent
• CA/ZICA II ACCA II or equivalent.
• Must be a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
• Three (03) years relevant post qualification experience.
• Experience in a quasi-government institution will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of ERP Systems will be an added advantage.
• Strong ICT skills.
• Certification as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) will be an added advantage.
