JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose/Mission
The role supports the delivery of integrated initiatives around stakeholder management and engagement, advocacy and influencing at District, provincial & country level. The role will work to support the Business Development & Stakeholder Relations Head in external stakeholder engagement for ENGIE Energy Access (EEA) Zambia activities and events to raise the profile of the organization and create awareness on the benefits of a sustainable renewable energy. Additionally, this role will support the overseeing of development and execution of strategy for EEA Zambia in collaboration with the Country Director.

Key Responsibilities
Departmental responsibilities to support. Fundraising, Grants and Donor Management
• Grant funding needs based on strategic objectives.
• Drafting and submitting grant proposals in line with strategic objectives.
• Management of grant allocation, claims, and disbursement processes
• Value addition to the business and meeting agreed disbursement targets with donor partners.
• Preparation of grant reports and other documentation for grant programs and
• Government agencies and ensure team compliance with terms and conditions of complex grant and contract agreements.
Strategy

• Development and implementation of EEA Zambia’s long-term strategic plans
• Cross-functional departmental strategic initiatives
• Achievement of Strategy key milestones
• Planning and execution of a short-to-medium term macroeconomic strategy for
• EEA Zambia.
• Coordinating and drafting key grant applications, timely submissions, and periodical reports to grant partners.
• Understanding, evaluation of industry trends and conducting regular competitive landscape analysis of the solar home system market and energy sector in Zambia
Business Planning & Support
• Undertaking specific ad-hoc projects or initiatives at the request of the Country Director with the aim to increase momentum and active tracking of performance/progress
• Planning & execution of business/functional projects and initiatives
• Working on specific projects/deep dives and ensuring swift follow through, particularly when thematic issues arise (work with different members of the management and regional team)
• Provision of timely and succinct updates on issues/projects.
• Engagement with regional teams to co-ordinate geographically driven initiatives
Networking and Representation
• Facilitation & development of strategic partnerships with relevant agencies within and beyond the energy sector, academia, media, and research institutions to influence and change policy and advocate for integration of energy across other key sectors.
• Representation of EEA ZM in national, donor, and government (national and international) forums related to energy to influence thinking of other stakeholders on effective delivery of energy and build EEA ZM’s reputation as a sector lead.
• Identification of key sector issues on which EEA Nigeria should focus their advocacy efforts

Knowledge and skills Experience:
• Experience of supporting developing of key strategic and operational partnerships at different levels
• Good understanding of the Zambian government structures and how they function and ability to navigate the system.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in English to produce professional documents of national and international standards and participate in policy discussions and debates.
• Strategic thinker. Able to see the bigger picture, challenges and opportunities and create a long-term vision.
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of a University Degree, preferably in a discipline such as Development
• studies, Social Policy/Political Science /Public Administration/Economics
