Control and Instrumentation Engineer
Itezhi Tezhi Power Corporation Limited (ITPC) is a Joint Venture Company owned by ZESCO LIMITED and The TaTa Power Company Limited to build and operate the 120 Mega Watt Hydro Power Station on the Itezhi Tezhi Dam of the Kafue River in Itezhi Tezhi District The company seeks to recruit a suitably qualified candidate for the position of Control and Instrumentation Engineer (C&I Engineer) to be based at the Itezhi Tezhi Hydropower Station in Itezhi Tezhi District

Job Summary
• Ensure efficient operation, maintenance & performance of the turbine generator units & governing systems, controller and field instruments
• Calibration, troubleshooting, integration of new IEDs, energy meters to SCADA, maintenance of SCADA system, maintenance of communication system of power house etc

Reporting
The position is in Grade IT4 (Senior Management Level) and reports to the Power Station Manager of the itezhi Tezhi Power Corporation Limited

Knowledge and skills
• Full Grade 12 Certificate and Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Possession of advanced degree (MSc) or (MBA) will be an added advantage.
• Over 10 years of post-qualifying experience in erection, commissioning and O&M of Hydro Power plants with sufficient experience in switching operations at Senior Authorized Person level
• Knowledge of Kaplan Turbine operations will be an added advantage.

Note:
• Post-qualifying experience in Operations and Maintenance of Hydroelectric power Generation Plants will be an added advantage.
• Current professional membership to Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
• The position is based at the Hydropower plant in Itezhi Tezhi District,
