JOB DETAILS:
Seeking a detail-oriented Debt Recovery Specialist for our client. Location is Lusaka. Applicants must reside nearby or relocate at their own expense.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Initiate contact with debtors via calls, emails, and letters.
– Negotiate feasible repayment plans or settlements.
– Monitor adherence to repayment agreements.
– Use skip-tracing techniques to locate difficult debtors.
– Maintain accurate records of all communications.
– Prepare detailed debt collection reports.
– Ensure compliance with debt collection laws.
– Collaborate with legal counsel as needed.
– Handle debtor inquiries and disputes promptly.
– Clarify debt obligations and repayment options.
– Resolve conflicts to achieve solutions.
– Work with credit control, legal, and finance teams.
– Share insights to improve debt recovery strategies.

Minimum Requirements:
– Proven experience in debt collection, preferably in finance.
– Strong negotiation and communication skills.
– Proficiency in debt collection software and skip-tracing.
– Knowledge of debt collection laws.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
– High ethical standards.
– Full grade 12 certificate or higher preferred.
– Certification in debt collection practices is advantageous.
