JOB DETAILS:
(a) Job Purpose
To undertake the formulation and evaluation of economic components of climate change programming in order to facilitate achievement of the climate responsive economic development

(b) Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to the National Coordinator, National Designated Authority and shall be responsible for:
• Climate Fund Alignment: Undertakes effectively the economic alignment of climate change programming in order to ensure they reflect national development priorities;
• Financing Forum: Undertakes effectively the coordination of financing forum on economic matters in order to promote coordination of climate change financing initiatives;
• Project Appraisal: Undertakes effectively the economic appraisal of projects in order to determine their economic viability;
• National Implementing Entities: Undertakes effectively the economic vetting of potential national implementing entities in order to facilitate accreditation.

(c) requirements
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
i. Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) credits including English language or its equivalent;
ii. Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics or equivalent;
iii. Masters of Arts (Economy and Policy Management) or related field is an added advantage;
iv. 8 years’ experience 2 of which should have been in management;
v. Ability to write technical and analytical reports:
vi. Ability to communicate effectively in English
