Role & Responsibilities
This is a full-time on-site role for an Enterprise Technical Support Sr. Analyst (Server & Storage) located in Zambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support services to clients, monitoring system performance, conducting regular hardware and software maintenance, and troubleshooting technical issues. The candidate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and customer support teams to identify and provide customized solutions to clients.
• HP 3 PAR Certified, EMC Storage, VMware (Expertise), Storage (Expertise), Virtual Connect and B-series SAN Switches (Expertise), Servers & Enclosures (Expertise), Operating Systems (Expertise), HP Softwares (Expertise),WINTEL (Expertise)Extensive technical knowledge of HP Server hardware subsystems
• Requires advanced experience in HP rack and blade server technologies and peripherals (i.e. hba’s, system boards, network cards, memory, cpu, etc.).
• Requires advanced experience in HP chassis architecture including QA’s, RIB’s, fiber switches and network switches (HPE Aruba).
• Requires experience in physical and virtual server builds.
• Requires basic support and configuration knowledge of VMWare (base knowledge of HyperV a plus).
• Expert knowledge of industry practices and technical systems and a solid understanding of the potential user of technology solutions in a business environment.
• Background with RAID systems, Windows and Windows Services configurations Linux and Linux Services configurations, Windows Media Services, Antivirus, E-mail systems, network transports and Backup software/hardware.
• Expert understanding of maintaining server deployment software, configuration management software and advanced recovery of systems.
• Requires minor support/troubleshooting knowledge of network and storage infrastructure.
• Requires advanced understanding of server based data center guidelines. Including patch, cable and power management, monitoring, rack cooling etc).
• Experience with one or more of the following models is desired: Hardware/ HP Proliant and Blade Servers/ Software/ Operating Systems Windows Server, Enterprise, and Data Center, Red and Suse Linux Enterprise
• Assists customers by diagnosing problems and providing resolutions for technical and service issues
• Remains knowledgeable of HPs product line, current industry products and technologies.
• May be involved in revenue generation activities with current HP customers
• Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in technical support, server management, and storage management
• Strong proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems, Virtualization (VMware), Backup technologies, enterprise storage arrays (NetApp, Dell, HPE, HDS), blade systems (HP, Dell), and Cisco UCS
• Experience in system administration, scripting, patching, and security vulnerability management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Availability to work outside of standard work hours during peak seasons or for emergency support
