JOB DETAILS:
Main Purpose of The Role:
• Provide status updates to customers, quoting, invoicing, and attending to pre-alerts and revenue collections for Sea, Air and Road imports and exports. Job file management in CW1 ensuring data quality within line with DSV standards. Ensure departmental SOP is followed throughout the supply chain and keep customers up to date on their movements of their cargo at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding and international transport industry
• Understand the various international modes of transport into and out of Zambia (Air, Sea and Road)
• Great knowledge of the ZRA requirements/ customs requirements
Qualifications:
• Matric Certificate
• Degree/Diploma in Logistics or clearing an advantage.
Computer packages
• Office 365 (Teams, OneNote, Forms), MS Word, Excel L2, PowerPoint, Outlook Basics
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide customer service to Sea, Air and Road imports & exports customers ensuring customers are updated, status reports are sent out as per the agreed KPIs and constant communication with the customers is maintained.
• Responsible for getting new bookings/pre-alerts from the clients on weekly basis and attending to them timely while updating clearing department for their action.
• Responsible for quoting competitively to all the clients Generate competitive quotations for all customers on (Sea, Air and Road imports & exports) ensuring accuracy and profitability and that the quotes are sent out to the customers within the required time frame.
• Sending daily status/tracking reports to customers and to concerned internal parties.
• Generate competitive quotations ensuring accuracy and profitability and that the quotes are sent out to the customers within the required time frame.
• Invoicing: ensure processing of Sea, Air and Road imports & exports shipment invoices and send out accurate invoices within the stipulated timelines ensuring the customers acknowledge receipt of the invoices. Resolve any disputes that may arise out of the invoices.
• Ensure to collect payments from the Sea, Air and Road imports & exports customers on time and follow up for unpaid invoices when support is needed. Update the finance department on any collections and uncollected revenues.
• Maintain and develop good business relationship with customers and help in enhancing business growth within the current customer base and generate other business leads for Sea, Air and Road imports & exports.
• Ensure to update shipment information in in the system and ensure that data quality in CW1 for the Sea, Air and Road imports & exports job files is accurate for reporting.
• Ensure you adhere to the established work safety rules at all times.
• Ensure to follow all the established SOPs.
