Baobab College has restructured from a Primary and Secondary School to a three-phased school which now incorporates our Senior School section comprising of Years 9 – 13 in 2023/2024. These year groups cover a very successful IGCSE programme and a very large and popular A level programme. The department is home to a range of specialised teaching staff and Heads of Faculties. The role is less senior than a full Head of Secondary as it is line managed by two Vice-Principals in charge of Pastoral Care and Academics across the school. The Head of Senior School will also work directly with the Head of Middle School and Head of Primary School, forming a comprehensive team of leaders. The role focuses on the day-to-day management of staff and students. Baobab College is looking for an inspired individual ready to take the Senior School to new heights in all areas of school life. The Head of Senior School will also be required to do some teaching in their area of expertise. Humanities would be preferred, but other subject areas could be accommodated. The following criteria will be required:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with a recognised post-graduate teaching qualification.
Minimum experience: Suitable for an experienced senior leader or an aspiring middle leader.

The following criteria will be of advantage to candidates:
• International teaching and or management experience
• Experience with Cambridge International programme of study (CAIE) at IGCSE and A level
• Ability or experience to teach their own subject for a limited timetable
• Master’s degree or other higher qualification
• Passionate and inspirational leader with excellent inter-personal skills
• Good ICT skills and experience of Google Classrooms or other VLE
• An investigative, practical teaching approach
• Ability to work as a senior academic team member
• Experience of curriculum design
• Commitment to the wider life of school and Baobab values

For all positions:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with a recognised post-graduate teaching qualification.
Minimum experience: Suitable for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher.
The following criteria will be of advantage to candidates:
• International teaching experience
• Experience with Cambridge International programme of study (CAIE)
• Ability or experience to teach some mathematics to lower secondary or iGSCE level
• Master’s degree or other higher qualification
• Passionate and energetic teacher
• Good ICT skills and experience of Google Classrooms or other VLE
• An investigative, practical teaching approach
• Ability to work as a team member
• Commitment to Baobab values and the wider life of school

Invitation to add to our recruitment database for teachers of Middle School Mathematics
Baobab College has restructured from a Primary and Secondary School to a three-phased school which now incorporates our Middle School section compromising of Years 5 – 8 in August 20023/2024. We are now accepting applications on a tentative basis for a teacher of mathematics who has experience and/ or keen interest in students aged 9 – 13. The ability to teach another subject would be of an advantage. The role is suitable for newly qualified or experienced teachers.
