IITA is seeking to employ the services of fully qualified Zambian national to fill up the position of Information Technology (IT) Intern.
The Information Technology – Intern will perform a wide range of Information Technology support under the direct supervision of the Information Technology Officer:
1. Assist Administrate and monitor both local area networks LAN and wide area networks WLAN
2. Assist to set up user permissions and control access to both LAN and WLAN.
3. Must have knowledge on Oracle Software, Photography and Telecommunications.
4. Assist troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and /or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate.
5. Assist to deliver where required inductions and basic training in the use of IT facilities and services provided by IT in Lusaka station.
6. Assist customers troubleshoot issues they encounter with software and applications and provide actionable tips to resolve the problem.
7. Assist in the maintenance and security of LAN and WLAN as well as all computer systems (both hardware and software).
8. Write technical specifications for purchase of PCs and related products; recommend schedule and perform PC, hardware, and peripheral equipment improvements.
9. Perform all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Qualifications
1. Minimum Diploma II in Computer Science or relevant course.
2. Good skills with Microsoft Office & Oracle Software.
3. Good trouble shooting skills and knowledge of hardware maintenance.
4. Ability to work under pressure.
General information: The Internship for a period of six, months.
