Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:
o Full Time (44 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Chauffeur will be required to make out of town trips for State and/or other agency personnel.
Duties
Incumbent operates motor vehicle dedicated to the Marine Security Guard Detachment and transportation within the Lusaka area and around Zambia. This is one of four chauffeur positions in the GSO motor pool that provides 24/7 support to the MSG Detachment. Daily supervision is provided by the MSG Detachment Commander. Operates a passenger motor vehicle, light truck or any other vehicle in accordance with dispatcher’s instructions to transport Embassy personnel, official visitors, maintenance equipment and cargo within Lusaka or around Zambia. Drives in a safe manner following local traffic laws and regulations. May work different shifts, such as driving marines or duty driver
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years chauffeuring/driving experience is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of city locations is essential. Must be familiar with local traffic laws and area’s traffic patterns. Must know and practice defensive and detective driving. Must be able to drive on highways and display a good knowledge of city locations.
Must have some knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
Education Requirements:
Completion of high school education is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: English level III (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. This may be tested. Nyanja level III (Good Working Knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have valid Class C driver’s license. Must have effective personal and communication skills, and be customer oriented.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
