JOB DETAILS:
Machine Operator (1)– Textured Soya Protein( soya chunks) Single Screw Extruder .

Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring that the machine starts on time and daily targets are met
2. Ensuring that the line is maximally utilized; no idle time, unnecessary stoppages
3. Supervising all operatives working on the line; ensuring that all line workers are gainfully utilized, no social loafing and loitering
4. Accounting for stocks used; ensuring that waste is reduced in the entire process and finished products are counted at the end of the Shift
5. Identifying problems on the line and quickly resolving them
6. Conducting daily care and maintenance of the line so that the line is always in a good working condition
7. Ensuring that Machines are always kept clean and in a hygienic condition
8. Conducting regular quality checks of the entire process; quality at source right up to packaging of the finished product
9. Ensuring that the finished product is rightly produced and packaged; weights, manufacture and best before dates are correct.
10. Must ensure that there is minimum waste in the entire process.
11. Completing Daily production control templates; accounting for stocks used, waste and finished products on the shop floor.

• Previous experience within the FMCG space, possessing understanding of Best Practices like 5S, 5 Why, Autonomous maintenance, Cost saving for World Class Manufacturing will be an added advantage

Qualifications
1. Must be a Zambian citizen and holder of a Green National Registration Card
2. Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels including English and Mathematics
3. Sober character and mentally sound
