JOB DETAILS:
Daily Nation Newspapers Limited is urgently looking for a Print Production Manager to be in charge of the Company’s printing processes, procedures and requirements from pre-press to final products.

Skills and Qualifications:
• A Higher Qualification in Printing Technology
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering with Printing experience will be of advantage
• Traceable work experience
• Ability to think on your feet and to troubleshoot and solve problems on printing hardware including Web Press, CTP and Pre Press Machinery
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Ability to manage and implement change
• Passion for the craft of printing desirable

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage efficient workflows and production relationships
• Ensure that all print equipment remains in good working condition
• Oversee corrective and scheduled maintenance of all equipment and ensure availability of spares for machines
• Creating and managing print production Schedules
• Ensure all consumables are well managed including paper, ink, pre-press and press chemistry
• Provide print production quality assurance and ensure deadlines are met
• Participate in vendor as well as technology investigations
• Implement special projects as assigned
