JOB DETAILS:
To manage the production in the factory and ensure that it is running optimally ensuring that the most efficient and cost effective production whilst ensuring that adequate stocks are available and accounted for. .

Responsibilities
1. Monitor and control daily operations of the factory sections.
2. In conjunction with the factory manager and in accordance with stock requirements and budgeted production targets, plan annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily production and all operations/activities of the factory.
3. Ensure efficient performance of each production line.
4. Evaluate performance through direct observation and reports from each section.
5. Recommend improvements and implement correct Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
6. Compile and maintain accurate accountable production related documents and records within the factory.
7. Ensure that Factory ACT, company rules and production procedures are adhered to by everyone in the factory.
8. You will ensure no compromise on quality.
9. You will ensure that machinery is being handled correctly by the right staff and that it is well maintained.
10. You are responsible for the production staff in the factory, you will ensure the highest level of discipline ethics and hygiene is maintained and that staff utilization is at its optimum.
11. Manage workforce time to ensure that productivity to time ratio is maintained to the most efficient levels.
12. Ensure Factory cleanliness at all times. Eliminate procrastination and wasted time usage.
13. Ensure good personal hygiene is practiced by everyone in the factory.
14. Ensure that safe working conditions are maintained in the factory.
15. You are responsible for ensuring that food safe pest control measures are followed and are carried out to ensure that pests are eliminated from the factory.
16. You are responsible for the factory fire and safety and the safety of employees in the factory. You will be required to ensure that only adequately trained personnel are assigned to operate machinery and that the correct signage is placed, handling procedures are followed when operating machinery and the correct use of personal protective equipment PPE.
17. You are responsible for compiling production and stock movement records within the factory whilst you may delegate the task to line team leaders, at times, the responsibility for accuracy lies with you. You are also responsible for stock in the factory. It is your job to ensure correct handling, distribution and movement.
Any other job related tasks assigned to you by your supervisor.

Requirements
• Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in production management or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant working experience either as a permanent employee or as an intern in manufacturing industry.
• Good verbal communication skills in English
• Strong attention to detail with ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work in a team
