• PROGRAMME MANAGER
• The Programme Manager will be responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the development and humanitarian program and projects implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Zambia. This role requires a deep understanding of the development and humanitarian sector, strong leadership skills, and project management expertise.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise development of comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Oversee the efficient execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and achieving project objectives.
• Monitor progress regularly, identify challenges, and take corrective actions to ensure successful project completion.
• Support project teams in the conceptualization of project activities and quality implementation.
• Mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure effective project implementation.
• Conduct capacity-building initiatives to enhance team members and local partners’ skills and knowledge.
• Consolidate regular progress reports and updates for donors, stakeholders, and organizational leadership.
• Develop and implement MEL frameworks to assess project effectiveness and impact.
• Use MEL data to make data-driven decisions and improve project outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, donors, and local communities.
• Identify potential project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to strategic organization development and proposal writing.

Requirements:
• A Master’s degree in international development, humanitarian studies, social sciences, or a related field is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
• Proven experience (5 – 7 years) in managing development and humanitarian projects with a focus on livelihoods and self-reliance, especially SME development, sustainable agricultural value chains, skills training, financial inclusion, market linkages, disaster risk reduction and resilience, climate change adaptation
• Strong project management skills with a record of successfully planning, implementing, and evaluating complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to lead and work effectively with team, staff, and partners.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural team with high respect for local culture.
• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality technical proposals is an advantage.
• Excellent analytic, organizational, and computer skills.
