JOB DETAILS:
Job Objective
• To build occupational health and safety (OHS) awareness to the employees, employers and the public,
create interest in OHS, providing information related to OHS to the public, stimulate OHS demand and to reinforce the OHS brand.
Duties And Responsibilities
• To build and maintain the positive image of the Institute
• Undertakes timely and accurately issuance of press releases in order to inform the public.
• Coordinates timely and accurately publication of various literature on the programmes of the Institute in order to enhance the image of the institute.
• Undertakes timely and accurately compilation of media and other reports on matters of public interest in order to enhance the image of the institute
• Coordinates timely the consolidation of Annual reports in order to inform and educate the public on the programmes of the institute
• Coordinates timely the consolidation of Annual reports in order to inform and educate the public on the programmes of the institute.
• Develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies
• Organize PR events and serve as the company’s spokesperson
• Seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising
Qualifications And Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent
• Minimum Vocational/ProfessionalQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/ Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
• Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience: 3 years working experience in the similar field
• Registered Member of Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC)
• Good interpersonal and public relations skills
• Creativity and problem-solving aptitude, respect and balance,
• Customer Client focus Able to write comprehensive and analytical reports
• Strong communication ability (oral and written)
• Analytical, Team Player, Innovative and Leadership qualities
• Computer literate
