INVITATION FOR BIDS – RE-ADVERTISED PROVISION OF QUALITY ASSURANCE, QUALITY CONTROL AND SUPERVISORY SERVICES FOR CIVIL WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF A SOLAR POWERED WATER RETICULATION SYSTEM (WRS) IN BWEMBYA VILLAGE, KASAMA DISTRICT, NORTHERN PROVINCE COVERING BOREHOLE SUPPLY, DISTRIBUTION CENTRE; DISTRIBUTION NETWORK.
DAI, the implementer of the USAID funded Scaling Up Nutrition Technical Assistance (SUN TA) Project, invites qualified bidders to submit proposals for the proposed work described below. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite bidders who have demonstrated experience and expertise to provide highly skilled engineering oversight to the installation of solar powered submersible pumps including photovoltaic panel arrays and civil construction of solar-powered water reticulation schemes including perimeter security fencing, lighting. erection of elevated water tanks, construction of water points and water distribution pipelines.

Only Offerors in the form of individual companies or consortiums with drilling/solar/civil works construction supervisory experience may apply and must meet the following minimum cligibility requirements:
Offeror must demonstrate previous supervision of construction contracts involving water reticulation systems and erection of steel tank stands and elevated, hot dipped, galvanized sectional tanks or construction with scope.
Offerors must be Zambia-licensed and legally organized businesses, organizations, or firms and must have all required licenses, permits, certificates and registrations including architectural, engineering, and business licenses. Individual consultants will not be considered for this RFP.

Offerors must possess the required equipment or demonstrate access to:
• Concrete testing equipment (crush tests) and materials testing laboratories
• Concrete slump test equipment
• Measuring equipment, inclinometers, borchole camera, borchole depth measure etc. -At least two 4x4 vehicles in very good condition
• Portable tents to enable onsite supervision even during light rain.
• Requisite IT equipment and software programs for effective contract management
• Response Submission Deadline and Communication protocol
• RFP documents containing detailed specifications of works, terms of reference, selection criteria.

Bidders meeting for this request will be held on 23 January 2024. The deadline for responding to the RFP by email only is 5:00 PM, Lusaka local time on January 31, 2024.
