(X1) TO BE BASED AT OHSI-SOLWEZI OFFICE
JOB OBJECTIVE
To co-ordinate the provision of Occupational Health and Safety Institute services in order to contribute to the promotion of a healthy and safe work environment and to conduct clinical examinations in order to ascertain diagnosis in an occupational health setting
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Undertakes timely and accurately clinical examination of clients in order to determine their health status
• Ensures timely and accurate preparation of reports in Occupational Medicine for decision making.
• Prepares and disseminates educational materials for awareness programs on Occupational Health and Safety and participates effectively and timely in the formulation and implementation of occupational health and safety standards in order to ensure adherence to national and international standards.
• Conducts/participates in formulation of Occupational Health and Safety Standards and research in order to adhere to national and international standards and generate information.
• Coordinates, monitor and evaluates all activities at the Regional Office and supervises effective utilization of human and material resources in order to facilitate attainment of set objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Full Form 5 or Grade 12 school certificate or equivalent
• MB ChB or its equivalent
• 5 years' post qualification experience
• Registered member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) Capable of writing comprehensive and analytical reports
• Able to communicate fluently in English
• Interpersonal, Leadership skills and Computer Literate and a Team Players Integrity Confidentiality and Sober habits
• Post graduate Diploma in Occupational Health
• Master's degree in Occupational Medicine is an added advantage
