The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our growing team in Lusaka, Zambia. As a Solar Sales & Project Management Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales strategy, managing projects from lead generation to completion, and exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Generate leads and identify potential customers for residential and commercial solar solutions.
– Develop personalized quotations and proposals tailored to client needs.
– Present proposals to clients, confidently explaining the benefits of solar energy in clear, layman’s terms.
– Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility and gather data.
– Monitor competitor pricing and stay informed on market trends.
– Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and successful completion.
– Provide pre- and post-sales support to clients, including technical advice on solar PV design.
– Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, lead records, and project documentation.
– Monitor supplier pricing and manage relationships with vendors.
– Collaborate effectively with the Lumens Energy team and report to the Board on a regular basis.
– Maintain a professional and organized approach, managing your time effectively to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
– Be a self-starter with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
– Demonstrate confidence and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
– Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales role (renewable energy experience a plus).
– Proven ability to generate leads and close deals.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
– Fluency in English and (1 or 2 Zambian Languages)
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel functions.
– Ability to grasp engineering and scientific terms quickly and translate them for a non-technical audience.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
– A valid Zambian driver’s license (an asset).
– Prior knowledge of solar PV systems is a significant advantage.
