The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) is a Body Corporate established under the Citizens’ Economic Empowerment Act No. 9 of 2006 to enhance broad-based economic empowerment, foster citizens’ economic ownership, control and management of economic resources, as well as to promote economic empowerment of targeted citizens is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following position:
Accountant Operations (1 position) Lusaka
Responsibilities
- Post payments for PAYE/NAPSA/NHIMA in compliance with regulations; Prepares a variety of payroll related documents
- Ensure reconciliations and reports are submitted timely weekly, quarterly and monthly for all operational funds including those disbursed to Operations in the Provinces.
- Process invoice payments from the capture and verification of the source documents through to the completion and recording of each transaction on the accounting system.
- Reconciles suppliers’ and service provider accounts to ascertain amounts owing and there after expedites for their documents for subsequent payment.
- Sorts and matches administrative expenses accounting documents and journalises them on posting vouchers as posting media.
- Codes and posts administrative expenses’ journal entries to the computer in order to produce suppliers’ summary, journal, trial balance and general ledger journal
Qualifications
- Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with at least five O Level credits including Mathematics and English.
- CA Advisory Professional in Accountancy or its equivalent
- Valid ZICA membership certificate
- At least 5 years relevant work experience.
