ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
• Support the Marketing Deployment Manager in the planning, development, and implementation of brand building initiatives across a wide spectrum of strategic pillars to deliver on brand, portfolio, and business growth objectives.
• Responsible for managing brand building activities in a timeous manner across consumer insights, innovative, creative communication development, and trade marketing execution all in a commercially sound manner.
• To build world-class brands activities that our consumers love through showing skill, courage, and leadership. You will need to be agile, be empowered to make bold choices to ensure the delivery of our brand ambition through select initiatives across Zambia and Namibia with the support of Marketing Deployment Manager and a hard-working brand team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
• Brand Planning: Assist the Marketing Deployment Manager in developing and driving brand plans. Promote brand purpose, understanding, insights and commitment throughout the organization
• Project Management: Plan and drive operational implementation of key brand and portfolio activities on time and in full, optimizing efficiencies and effectiveness. Ensure all the required brand tools (product, communication, deployment plans) are led effectively to meet required key landmarks whilst ensuring alignment with brand and portfolio strategy.
• Ensure all marketing regulatory requirements are aligned through engagement with Legal and External Affairs.
• Review and analyse, research & brand performance in a clear concise manner to understand brand issues and market opportunities providing sound recommendations, focus on required actions
• Work with Trade Marketing in the preparation of engagement programs and cycle plan activities to ensure brand strategies and objectives are effectively driven and evaluated at field level. Employ consumer dialogue principles as the key route to the consumer
• Lead 360°activation strategy as per cycle plan orchestrating touchpoint strategy according to consumer and customer insights, marketing strategy and EM’s context to achieve the communication and engagement objective
• Develop Campaign Plan and handle/lead all aspects of the project management process:
• Shopper Marketing: Input into the development and implementation of shopper Marketing activities Provide ideas on how to develop retail touchpoints in outlets.
• Continuously implement new and innovative solutions to ensure increased visibility in market for BAT.
• Define Campaign Plan through facilitation of the activation framework (formalization of Activation Strategy, Operational Plan and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation performance vs KPIs)
• Commercial fluency: Actively handle, monitor, and report brand expenditure to ensure it does not exceed budget defined in operational brand plan. Demonstrate the ability to drive saving through spending where it matters (SWIM)
• Manage external agencies partners to ensure day to day activities related brand and trade programs are performed with required quality and agreed cost & timescales.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Bachelor’s Degree Qualification in Marketing, Business Studies, or other related qualifications
• 3-5 years’ experience in Brand and Product Management in FMCG Industry
• Minimum 1 year in Trade and Marketing experience
• Demonstrated experience in Activation and Campaign Management
• Shown experience of Budget management
• Ability to hadle marketing agencies and supplier management
• Experience of working in multi-market role
• Agile with strong decision-making abilities
• Capability across the key Microsoft tools (Excel, Power Point, Word, PowerBI and Forms)
• Experience formulation of trade campaigns in both formal and informal markets
• Knowledge of digital marketing would be an added advantage
