Position: Metal Fabrication Trainer
Location: Lusaka, Zambia

About Us:
Skills to Live Zambia, an affiliate of Young Africa, is committed to equipping young people with practical skills to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial potential. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Metal Fabrication Trainer to join our team and deliver high-quality vocational training in metal fabrication and welding.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct both theoretical and practical training in metal fabrication and welding.
– Design and implement training curricula aligned with TEVETA standards.
Assess learners through continuous and summative assessments.
– Provide mentorship and guidance to trainees in both technical and professional development.
– Ensure workshop safety protocols are followed at all times.
– Maintain training equipment and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
– Liaise with industry partners to support internship and employment opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
– TEVETA accredited as a Trainer and Assessor in Metal Fabrication.
– Minimum of a Diploma or Craft in Metal Fabrication, Welding, or a related field.
– Certification in Teaching Methodology or Vocational Pedagogy is mandatory.
– At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in the metal fabrication or welding industry.
– Experience in facilitating training or teaching in a vocational institution is an added advantage.
– Proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
– Strong knowledge of reading technical drawings and fabricating metal components.
– Excellent communication, mentorship, and interpersonal skills.
– Passionate about youth empowerment and technical education.
