ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Deputy CEO, the People and Culture Manager (PCM) will lead the daily operations of CRZ’s People and Culture Unit. The PCM is responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, compliance, record-keeping, compensation, benefits, payroll, and administration. The PCM will strategically develop and implement HR initiatives aligned with CRZ’s overall strategic plan and HR policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
1. Strategic Development:
- Align HR strategies with organizational objectives.
- Foster corporate values and a positive organizational culture.
- Promote employee well-being and satisfaction to enhance productivity and morale.
2. Talent Management:
- Collaborate with the Deputy CEO on talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
- Manage full recruitment lifecycle, including drafting job advertisements, candidate screening, and facilitating interviews.
- Develop and coordinate systematic onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Oversee new employee orientation, ensuring compliance with contracts and ethics policies.
3. Compliance and Policy Implementation:
- Review, approve, and implement organizational policies ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and update the Employee Handbook, tracking any amendments.
- Ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping and HR data management.
4. Employee Relations and Welfare:
- Manage employee relations matters and conduct exit interviews.
- Implement staff wellness programs and coordinate training and team-building events.
- Oversee leave management, including tracking balances and processing leave requests.
- Provide comprehensive orientation and ensure new staff have required resources (email setup, benefits enrollment, ethics training).
5. Administrative, Communication, and Compliance Functions:
- Develop HR systems and procedures in collaboration with senior management.
- Maintain and manage employment contracts, monitoring renewal dates and documentation.
- Communicate HR updates, policies, and activities internally.
- Manage internal communication channels, including communication boards and job postings.
- Ensure employee adherence to company policies, including compliance training completion.
6. Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training sessions on organizational policies, procedures, and other relevant areas.
- Support employees’ professional development, recommending appropriate training to address knowledge and skill gaps.
7. Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare payroll, manage employee benefits, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Conduct investigations into misconduct or policy violations as directed.
- Perform additional HR and administrative tasks as assigned.
DESIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Administration-related field is required. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum 6 years experience in an HR role with broad exposure to various HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, policies, and best practices.
- High integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Prior experience in multicultural, not-for-profit settings is an added advantage.
- Must be a licensed member of ZIHRM.
