We are looking for a QA Specialist to join our dynamic Product Strategy team. We are building a global network and want to bring on a Technology professional with the hustle, and experience to elevate and finesse our company data process. This is a ground-level opportunity to play a critical role at BPTN.
As our Quality Assurance Specialist, you’ll responsible for Verification and Validation (V&V) techniques and practices with modern enabling technologies (e.g., test code, automated regression frameworks, etc.), own the V&V Delivery Code and End to End Delivery Pipeline and be accountable for the overall automated regression feature coverage of BPTN products and services, we need you! Everything you do will help the company meet its objective of supporting Black tech professionals by connecting them to the resources they need to succeed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
Collaborate with our Sr. Product Manager, Software Architect and engineering team in developing the enabling technologies necessary to launch BPTN Products and services from scratch, and make our processes better, faster and easier for everyone while guarding the overall experience of Black Professionals and Partners.
As lead of the quality assurance (QA) practice, and act as point of contact for all QA-related questions, providing QA services.
Oversee all aspects of quality assurance lifecycle including metrics, applying industry best practices and developing new tools and processes
Establish and evolve formal QA processes and approve tools/techniques
Report and provide status on testing phases (test plan to test case creation, automated regression, bug triaging to final release)
Coordinate with Product team leads and BTPN stakeholders on test strategies, product release timelines and raise any risks
Develop and own automated regression test code and frameworks and implementation within the CI/CD pipeline/E2E Delivery Pipeline
Analyze and articulate current technological solutions and proposed valued alternatives wherever required.
Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
Develop and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write test cases and test scenarios
Coach and mentor all members of the QA team on “whole-team” and “shift-left” quality methods and practices and provide guidance to others when possible.

EDUCATION
Bachelor or Diploma in information technology, Computer Science or another related field.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who embodies the following:
3 years in software engineering or quality assurance with 1 year of professional experience in a QA role
Proven experience crafting high-complexity delivery code, design and implement test scripts, design, implement and execute test suites, and design, implement and maintain delivery code (e.g., test frameworks/libraries, orchestration platforms, etc.).
You are able to champion and deliver solutions across all parts of delivery code, including Unit, TDD, Integration, API, Functional & Visual Regression, Decisioning (i.e., dashboards and connectors to visualize them across platforms/stacks) and devops technologies like cloud, orchestration and containerization tools).
You are comfortable with software development techniques and can build medium-complexity client-facing software solutions with modern coding/scripting languages (e.g., Node, JavaScript, Python, Ruby) and frameworks.
You are able to deliver communications that are clear, concise and effective, both written and verbal to get your ideas across and get buy-in if needed.
You have excellent organizational skills, work ethic, and passion to deliver on commitments
You are able to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision; having led small teams of technologists/developers/etc.
You have an excellent understanding of SDLC, software architecture, and modern product methodologies (Lean, HCD, etc.) honed through countless product releases.
Understanding of test methodologies: white box, black box, a/b, functional, automated, load, performance
Extensive experience with bug management, tracking, and reporting programs (i.e. Test Track Pro, Jira, Bugzilla)
Strong experience with cross-browser testing, functional, stress/performance, security testing of multi-tiered web applications
Strong experience in using industry-standard tools to develop and maintain automated user acceptance test suites and tying them into the Continuous Integration process
