JOB DETAILS:
Background
The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) is a Statutory Body established by the Energy Regulation Act No. 12 of 2019 to regulate the energy sector in Zambia. Its key functions include licensing enterprises, setting prices for energy products and services, monitoring the quality of energy products and services and handling complaints from energy consumers.
The ERB seeks to engage suitably qualified persons under its Internship program to fill the position of Intern – ICT (x2).
Purpose
1. To help the successful candidates increase knowledge and skills in ICT in the Public Sector through practical work experience.
2. To provide Software development support to the ICT Unit in the day to day operations.

Responsibilities
• Assisting ICT in Software development and Testing;
• Assist in the development of systems documentations and user manuals;
• Participating in ICT development and user support discussions and meetings; and
• Perform any other duty as may be required by the supervisor from time to time.

Required Skills and Attributes
• Good analytical skills with attention to detail;
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities;
• Integrity and confidentiality;
• Knowledge inutilizing Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for software development
• Knowledge of C# programing language
• Conversant with Java scripting
• Knowledge of Structured Query Language
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• An eagerness to learn and contribute within a team environment
• Good report writing skills.

Eligibility Criteria
• Must be a Zambian citizen
• Must have a Grade 12 certificate with University entrance passes
• Must have a Degree in ICT or related field or Equivalent
• Applicants should have graduated not more than three (3) years ago
